What happens to a report once made to DCEO?
Once the report alleging corruption is lodged with DCEO, it is analyzed by the body called Report Analysis Panel and classified accordingly so that those falling within the ambit of the law governing DCEO will be referred to Investigation Division for thorough investigations and ultimately prosecution of perpetrators, and those that do not fall within the scope of the law are referred to different Government Ministries and stakeholders accordingly.
How long does it take for a person to receive feedback once he/she lodged a report with DCEO?
Under normal circumstances, it takes a week for a person to know what action has been take on his/her reported matter.
Is it safe to report corruption?
Confidentiality is maintained at all costs in matters of corruption therefore people who report corruption are safe as their identities are hidden and their safety is guaranteed.
