Maseru- The Directorate on Corruption and Economic Offences (DCEO) held a motivational talk for its staff aimed at strengthening professionalism, integrity and personal development within the organization.
The session was facilitated by Advocate Mary Bosiu, who delivered a presentation under the thought-provoking theme “If I Had a Choice, Would I Choose to Be Served by Me?” The presentation encouraged employees to reflect on the quality of service they provide to the public and the standards they uphold in their daily duties.
Advocate Bosiu emphasized the importance of team spirit, service excellence, integrity and financial wisdom, noting that these principles are essential for building trust between public institutions and the communities they serve. She urged staff members to continuously evaluate their conduct and commitment to ethical service delivery. “Public servants must always ask themselves whether they would be satisfied if they were on the receiving end of the service they provide,” she said, highlighting that professionalism and accountability play a critical role in maintaining public confidence.
Advocate Bosiu was accompanied by her partner, Mindset Transformation Coach Mrs. Maleseli Mohloai, who delivered a complementary session focusing on human mind formation and brain development. Her presentation explored how the mind develops, the role of consciousness and the ways in which stress and emotions can emerge and influence behavior. Mrs Mohloai also discussed how mindset shapes actions, explaining that individuals’ thoughts and attitudes have a direct impact on their decisions, productivity and relationships in the workplace.
The motivational talk provided an opportunity for DCEO staff to reflect on personal growth and professional responsibility, while reinforcing the organization’s commitment to ethical conduct and effective service delivery.
